Editor’s Note – Ketekete Magazine Third Issue
Welcome to our final issue of Ketekete Magazine for this year. It’s been an amazing journey since 2013 when the first issue was released.
It’s now over a year since the first issue of Ketekete Magazine was released. Where were we? Where are we? Where do we want to be? These are the questions we try as much as possible to answer in every issue.
The second issue of Ketekete Magazine was focused on how we as Africans can stop judging a book by its cover. We should try getting to know someone very well before we judge them. On this third issue, we try as much as possible to encourage people to be influential in their communities. What did we do?, we covered the FrontPage of this issue with 156 amazing African faces to show the world that there is nothing like THE MOST INFLUENTIAL AFRICANS IN BREMEN as a single tree cannot make a forest.
We are all Africans and we are all influential. We have come this far in search of greener pastures. Some of us came to Germany through smooth paths while others came through rough paths. It’s high time we come together as one, it’s high time we unite, it’s high time we throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, do the impossible, explore, dream big and discover.
A great basketball player (Michael Jordan) once said “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” We hope you enjoy reading this issue as our writers, photographers and designers have once again done a wonderful job. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year in advance. God bless you.
